The Sacred ash, Vibhuti is traditionally applied to the forehead between the eyebrows. Other areas that vibhuti is sometimes applied is the throat and to the solar plexus area where the left and right rib cages meet, just below the heart. Vibhuti is individually in small copper vessels and then left in the Dhyanalinga temple for a period of time wherein it is specially blessed by Dhyanalinga.
